The most hated fish in America is receiving a name change. The state of Illinois is renaming the Asian carp to Copi in an effort to alter perception of the fish. Asian carp is an invasive species that is taking over many beautiful lakes, causing major problems for the ecosystem. The fish is competing with native fish over food and space. To get rid of the abundance of Asian carp in the Midwest, they are convincing people to eat them.
