Two critically endangered species, the California condor and the polar bear, have welcomed new life. The arrival of two California condors, now named Enya and Hulu, in a Mexico City zoo is cause for celebration. A polar bear cub was born at a zoo in Hamburg, Germany. Climate change is eroding the polar bear’s natural habitat. Melting ice means a smaller hunting ground for food. Each new life brings hope to the small condor and polar bear populations.
