A former “American Idol” contestant who was once famously fat-shammed by Simon Cowell has died. Mandisa’s representative confirmed to Inside Edition that she was found in her home deceased. She competed on “American Idol” in 2006. Cowell fat-shamed her after she was sent to Hollywood. She later confronted him and he apologized to her. Over the years, she was open about her struggles with weight and food addiction. Mandisa was 47.
