Anorexia Nervosa and eating disorders are the biggest cause of death among patients with mental disorders. Often clinicians working in the field of eating disorders struggle to identify the clinical risks posed to the young people and adults with eating disorders.

Managing emergencies in eating disorders (MEED) is a comprehensive guideline published by the Faculty of Eating Disorders of the Royal College of Psychiatrists, London in May 2022. This guideline is based on latest evidence and was written by experts, patients and carers in the field of eating disorder and a risk rating tool based on this guideline was disseminated soon after in June 2023.

This webinar focusses on how to assess, identify and manage serious mental health and physical health risks in children and young people with eating disorders. This knowledge and skill can help make the patients better and help save lives.
